Surely, a way to greatly reduce conflicts in the world is to increase humans' readiness to empathize.
Imagine a machine that asks questions to determine views or beliefs, then shows a series of experiences (shot in 1st person) to get the other person to form a view that conflicts with their initial one.
For such a machine to be remotely ethical, people would need to subject themselves to it voluntarily.
